Since 1994, Tapa The World has served Spanish tapas and wine — often accompanied by live guitar music — creating an atmosphere that is relaxed, warm, and inviting. It’s a place where anniversaries are celebrated, first dates turn into lifelong partnerships, and memories linger over shared plates and candlelight.

Chef Marcos Murillo has been part of that story for more than 28 years. Rising from line cook to Sous Chef to Executive Chef in 2008, he officially purchased the restaurant with his wife Brooke in February 2020, continuing its legacy while ushering in a new chapter of chef-led ownership, passion, and creativity. Today, the restaurant remains a Midtown staple — serving classic Spanish favorites alongside daily specials and evolving culinary creations.
