Volunteer Opportunity - Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA)
Currently, CASA Sacramento has openings for the Volunteer role of a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate). This is a chance to make a difference in a child’s life in the foster care system. This volunteer position includes serving as a Mentor, Monitor, and Advocate. CASA Sacramento volunteers serve children and youth placed in foster care due to abuse or neglect. Through no fault of their own.
The need as of July 1, 2022, Sacramento County had 1,757 youth in care. While the amount of youth in care is significant, The CASA program focuses on making a difference in the lives of individual youth. By pairing youth with a CASA.
The role of a CASA requires a strong commitment, but it has a lasting effect on a child’s life.
