The Community Development Department’s Development Engineering Division is seeking an Assistant/Associate Engineer/Associate Civil Engineer to assist with private development application review, including entitlement applications, construction/improvement plans, grading permits, traffic control plans, drainage studies, and traffic studies. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of civil engineering principles, a strong customer centered approach, and the ability to work collaboratively with various City staff, outside agencies, and service providers to resolve issues and concerns resulting in effective and efficient application processing. Excellent time management skills, ensuring the timely review of development applications and being highly responsive to project inquiries are essential skillsets in this position. Prior experience in private development entitlements, plan review, map review, or construction is desired but not required.
